The Under-20 national selection of Cameroon is expected to make a short trip to neighboring Equatorial Guinea this Monday, December 14 via the Nsimalen International Airport in Yaoundé-Cameroon.
The boys of coach Christophe Ousmanou are traveling to Equatorial Guinea for a seven nations Under-20 Central African Football Federations’ Union tournament for nations in the Central African region and DR Congo as guest.
Alioum Moubarak and friends have been drafted in group B of the tournament, meaning they will face Congo Republic and DR Congo in the group stage of the competition.
The 21 boys born after the year 2000 of Cameroon descent have been training at the CAF Excellence center in Mbankomo-Cameroon for over a month in preparation for the event and rounded their preparation with a 3-1 win against local division one side TKC on Thursday.
The Lions follow up the tournament opener pitting host Equatorial Guinea against Tchad with a clash against DR Congo on December 15 before rounding up group stage commitment against Congo Republic two days later.
The winner of the competition will represent UNIFFAC in next year’s Under-20 AFCON tournament in Mauritania.
