APEJES of Mfou and Under-20 Lions of Cameroon goalkeeper Hecube Wislow has expressed his satisfaction about Cameroon’s performance and results in Sunday’s Under-20 AFCON opener against Mauritania.
Speaking to the Cameroon Football Federation’s onsite media officer post-match on Sunday, the 18-year old net minder fresh from keeping a clean sheet in his AFCON debut qualified the game as a test of character.
“We are very glad because of the result today because it wasn’t easy. We came here with an objective to win and to continue on a good footing. We had a chance towards the end of the game and took it and gave us the win,”Hecube stated.
Just like in their run of winning the UNIFFAC late last year, Hecube made a couple of good saves in the game to give his side the chance of going home with all three points and a clean sheet.
The APEJES of Mfou keeper has kept a clean sheet in his last two competitive games for country.
Hecube will be telling for team Cameroon on Wednesday when they face Uganda in the second group game.
