The Under 17 Lions of Cameroon have returned to the country after participating in the 2019 UEFA ASSISTS tournament in Instanbul-Turkey.

The team recorded an unprecedented 3 defeats in 3 games against Paraguay, Scotland and Angola in the tournament.

Cameroon struggled in the build up to the 2019 Under 17 AFCON tournament in Tanzania but became a different proposition in the tournament returning home with the trophy.

They arrived the Nsimalen Airport in Yaounde from Instanbul at 2:40 AM on Saturday.

The team is currently at it’s Mbankomo base where they were before their departure to Turkey.

The players break camp this Saturday but are expected to be back in Mbankomo on Sunday.

Our sources say the team will leave the country in the days ahead for another lengthy training camp in Brazil before the start of the World Cup on the 26th of October 2019.

Cameroon enter the competition on the 29th against Tajikistan before facing Argentina and Spain later in the competition.
