Coach Oscar Mirambo has told kick442.com that the Serengeti boys will stay a little longer in Kigali to right a few wrongs before returning home this Monday.The boys of coach Mirambo emerged champions in the FERWAFA & BINEWA Invitational tournament in Rwanda and look set for the upcoming Under 17 AFCON which begins this Saturday.

Coach Mirambo’s boys left the tournament with an enviable record of no defeat in two games wherein they scored 5 goals and conceeded 4.

The Serengeti boys led by potential midfield genuis Abraham Morice beat tournament bound Cameroon by 2 goals to 1 in their opening game before cancelling a two goals deficit to pull a 3 all tie against Rwanda in their last game.

“I think we came here to see the effects of the work we have been doing since we return from Turkey. Honestly these boys are responding at the right time but we have to keep working to make it better.We will leave Kigali on Monday to return home and finalize our preparation ahead of our first game”.”Our objective is to take it game by game until we qualify for our first ever World Cup tournament through this AFCON”. Coach Mirambo told the online portal”

John Edmund scored twice in two games in Kigali, Abraham scored once and was named kick442.com player of the match against Cameroon,Swakali Arafat is a center back who knows how to put his laces behind a dead ball. Should this lads be on their A game in this tournament then another dorse of joy similar to what the senior National team of Tanzania and Simba SC is offered Tanzanian may be in the making for Tanzanian and their hardworking FA.
