Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s former teammate at United States’ top flight side, Los Angeles Galaxy- Ulrich Andre Zanga has joined Algerian Premier League heavyweights Entente Sportive Setifienne from 2021 Cup of Cameroon winners PWD of Bamenda.
According to Algerian sources, the 24-year-old versatile midfielder has agreed terms with the management of the Setif barely days after arriving the country.
This Pan-African Sports News Agency understands Zanga has completed all formalities to switch to Setif on a three-year deal.
The impressed during his one season at PWD of Bamenda featuring in 20 league games plus the one-nil win in the historic 2021 cup of Cameroon victory against Astre.
He is likely to form the team’s deadly defensive and midfield partnerships for the upcoming season.
Zanga has played for US side, Los Angeles Galaxy since 2017 and has since made over 40 appearances for the Major League Soccer team’s reserve side.
Zanga is expected to be part of the team’s squad for the 2022/2023 top flight football championship in Algeria where Setif will be looking forward to challenge for the title again.
