Asisat Oshaola scored an early goal and assisted another as Barcelona Femeni thrashed Alvine Njolle’s FK Minsk 5-0 in the Women’s Champions League on Thursday evening.

The Nigerian international played for 60 minutes as the current Spanish Primera Iberdrola leaders put up a spectacular first half display at home scoring 4 goals within 26 minutes as FC Minsk sunk without a fight.

The 25-year-old gave the Spanish outfit the lead at the 6th minute and assisted Aitana Bonmati 16 minutes later for a 3-0 lead.
Marta Torrejon scored Barcelona’s second goal while Aitana Bonmati hit target for a brace before the half mark.

There was less improvement after the break from both teams. Barcelona failed to increase the scale of the thrashing before Super -substitute Jennifer Hermoso scored to complete their triumph.

Oshoala has scored 5 goals in 6 games for Barcelona this season. She scored the team’s lone goal last weekend against Sporting Huelva to extend their unbeaten run in the Spanish Women’s league.

The three time Africa Women’s Champion joined Barcelona from China on loan before she signed a permanent deal at the Spanish club.

Barcelona return to league action on Sunday against EDF Logrono at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.
