19-year-old Nigerian forward Victor Okoh Boniface was part of goal scorers for Norwegian side, Bodo/Glimt in their 6-1 thrashing of Lithuanian Kauno Zalgiris on Thursday, www.kick442.com can report.
The UEFA Europa League First Qualifying Round fixture at Aspmyra Stadion, Bodø saw Boniface scoring Bodø’s fifth goal in the 79th minute as he played for the duration of the game.
A brace from Philip Aksel Frigast Zinckernagel in the 27th and 36th minutes was followed by another brace from Jens Petter Hauge in the 52nd and 59th minutes. Sebastian Tounekti scored the other goal in the 81st minute.
The victory ensured that Bodø will feature in the second qualifying round of the 2020/2021 UEFA Europa League.
The club currently tops the Norwegian Eliteserien table with 41 points from 15 games, seven points ahead of Leke James’ Molde with one outstanding game for Bodø.
Kauno Žalgiris on the other hand is in the third position on the Lithuanian league table with 31 points from 16 games, four points behind league leaders Sūduva.
