Ajax beat Greek side POAK to advance to the Finals of the UCL after a 5-4 margin that came with a lot of test and sweat.
Ajax of Amsterdam came from behind to score 3 goals after POAK took the lead in the early days of the game courtesy D. Biseswar at the 23rd minute.
As it was, at that time, last season’s semifinalists were already packing their bags out with that 0-1 scoreline until a response came from D. Tadic just before the half time interval.
Ajax managed to settle all early nerves in the first half and went ahead to consolidate their position starting with late goal from an unlikely source. Left back N. Tagliafico scored at the 79th minute, before Tadic, claimed his brace on the penalty spot and sealed the deal.
Ten Hag’s men have experienced lot’s of changes with newcomers still, trying to find the balance in the squad that ran away with the Dutch double (Dutch cup and Eredivise), last season.
It is clear that the lads are not going to have things all go their way this time, with teams aiming at them with malicious intent.
