Under 23 Lions head coach, Rigobert Song, has summoned 36 players to camp, ahead of their last round qualifying game against Tunisia. The training Camp will run from April 22, 2019, to May 3, 2019.
For the players called up, the coach has gone in for four goalkeepers, 13 defenders, 10 midfielders and nine attackers. Amongst the 36 players, are six foreign based players, Loa Loa Patrick of US Ben Guerdane in Tunisia, Junior Figo Ngongang of AL=Akhdar in Libya, Djamen Yvan and Kemayou Wilfried, of Leones Vegetarianos in Equatorial Guinea, Tatkeu Marius of Sanga Balende FC in Congo, and Mouchili Ibrahim of Club African in Tunisia.
Dragon of yaounde and TKC have three players each on the list, cotonsport, Bang Bulletm Eding, Canon and New stars have two players each, while others are picked from league one and two clubs in the country.

The U23 lions did not take part in the second round of qualifiers, after the Confederation of African Football, CAF sanctioned their supposed opponents, Sierra Leon. In the first round, Cameroon eliminated Chad 4#1 on aggregate, after winning 3#nil in Yaounde, and playing 1#1 in Ndjamena.
Rigobert Song and his boys will now face a Tunisian side that qualified for the third round, after dispatching South Sudan 1#0 on aggregate in the second round.
