The head coach of the Under 17 women’s national football team of Zambia Kaluba Kangwa, has slammed the referees poor officiating, following his sides three_nil defeat in Yaounde on Saturday evening.
A brace from Camilla Daha and a goal from Lamine mana at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium meant the copper princesses crashed out of the world cup race, on a 5#0 goal aggregate.
Coach Kaluba Kangwa and his girls came into Saturday’s game looking to overturn the two goal deficit they suffered at the Nkoloma stadium in the first leg a fourth night ago , but the baby lionesses were too hot for them to handle.
“The defenders were not doing a good job by making their own mistakes,” Kaluba Kangwa said during the post_match press conference.
“We played very well in the first 35 minutes, but unfortunately for me I’m very much disappointed with the referees,” he added.

“They were very frustrating and it is not good. It is better to win the game fairly. They’re a good side, they play good football, but when you had another advantage of the referees, it becomes very frustrating.
“Last night the commissioners were following us like normal business. We submitted a list of players and they rejected some of our players, we don’t understand. Then today they allowed them to play. You can see the psychological impact on the players. It is not right.”

Kaluba went ahead to making stunning claims of a massive age cheating in the Cameroonian squad, claiming that many of the players were not U17’s.
“our team is a young team, you can see that this is a real under 17. I talked about it in Zambia the last time that I’m afraid that I feel very strongly that the Cameroonian team is not 100 percent under 17,” Kaluba stated.
“I have being with Under 17’s for a very long period of time. This is my 16th year and I know who an Under 17 is but I can assure you that the Cameroonian team is not completely Under 17. But however this is how football is but I think in future we need to improve on age, there’s a lot of age cheating in the Cameroonian team and you can see it for yourself.
“I saw very good tactical play, but they were mature players and they’re playing football beyond the under 17’s. You can easily tell if a player is under 17. The way they give a pass, the strength, and also the appearance of the players.”

The U17 lionesses are through to the last round of qualifiers for the CAF Zone, and will now face the winner of the game pitting Burundi against Tanzania.
Recently, games involving Cameroon, have raise eyebrows across the continent, especially in terms of officiating. Kaluba Kangwa’s claims of poor officiating are coming exactly one month after Algerians raise a similar concern in a game pitting the desert foxes against the indomitable lions in Bilda.
