The head coach of the Under 17 lionesses of Cameroon Stéphane Ndzana, has revealed that he and his team are working towards having an outstanding performance, as they gear up for qualifiers for the FIFA U17 women’s world cup.
The words from the highly motivated under-17 lionesses head coach stephane Ndzana Ngono, highlighted his dreams of ticketing a spot for India 2022 with his girls. The tactician was speaking in an exclusive interview with kick442.com, as they continue preparations for their upcoming game against Eritrea.
“Let me begin by making a brief balance sheet of the first phase of our preparation which, consisted of selecting thirty players from some local clubs.”
“After which all the thirty players were chanced to play two friendlies, against FC Ebolowa and Eclair of Sa’a . The objective was to select 16 players , to join the 9 old players set aside so as to form a complete group of 15 girls.”
“We had focused on some technical aspects during our trainings, such as individual techniques, athletic skills and on a rapid attacking play style.”
“It’s true the absence of a competition reduces the players potentials and physical qualities. However, they are oblige to give in the best of theirs so as to remain competitive. ” He added
One week to the game day, slated for March 1st, Coach Ndzana and team will be taking on Eclair and Ebolowa FC, in another friendly this Friday as from 2pm at Annex one Omnisport stadium.
“For now we’re focused on the detection of players capable of defending nation’s colours. And we continue following those in the different clubs, so as to make a difference.”
“I have no idea of the Eritrean team . But l believe watching the videos of their previous games, will permit us to put in place a strong winning mechanism. I have no message for the opponents, but just to prepare for the win .” Stephane Ndzana said
Just like the Senior indomitable lionesses, who succeeded in picking a ticket for Morocco 2022, it is the same ambition that lies within this young and dynamic team, in their quest to obtain a ticket for India 2022 .
