The second round of the under seventeen Women World Cup qualifiers has been determined after the preliminary stage matches were concluded today.
Botswana were ruthless as they defeated Zimbabwe 0-2 in the second leg of the preliminary round.
The first leg had ended 5-0 in favour of Botswana and on aggregate 7-0.
Morocco advanced to the next round after a trouncing. They defeated Djibouti eight nil today in the second leg.
The win makes an aggregate of fifteen nil after a seven nil defeat was inflicted on Djibouti last week.
Uganda also moved to the second round as they defeated Ethiopia 1-3 in Ethiopia. The first leg had ended 2-0 in Uganda. Hence, Uganda qualify 5-1 on aggregate.
Liberia defeated Niger 5-0 on aggregate to advance to the second round. The first leg had ended 4-0 in Liberia while the second leg ended 1-0 in Niger.
Guinea also qualified to the next round after beating Guinea Bissau 8-3 on aggregate. The first leg had ended five goals to nil while the second leg had ended three all.
It was Tanzania one Burundi nil as Tanzania qualify on aggregate 6-1 to move to the next round.
The qualified teams join Nigeria, South Africa, Cameroon and Ghana who were all given byes to the second round.
