The Under 17 women’s World Cup Qualifier game counting for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in India against Cameroon and Eritrea have been rescheduled
This 8th edition of the African U17 women’s World Cup qualifying tournament’s away leg game was scheduled to be played on March 1 and the return leg to come up on March 5,2022.
The game has now been postponed to the third week of March in Eritrea n first week of April in Cameroon.
Some twenty-five players summoned by head Coach Stephan Ndzana, started Fine-tuning skills at camp from February 7th at the CAF excellence center in Mbankomo ahead of their double confrontation game before it’s cancellation.
Four goalkeeper, Eight defenders, seven midfielders and six Attackers were chosen to defend the Colours of the Country.
As part of preparations, the lionesses played several friendly games, some of which were against FC Ebolowa ladies who defeated them by two goals to one and Éclair de Saa.
Eritrea and Benin picked up Qualification to the World Cup qualifier after South Sudan and Mauritania withdrew.
Three teams will have to qualify from this tournament for the 2022 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in India as CAF Representatives.
