The under 17 Lions of Cameroon have had the last second training session this Thursday from 9:00 AM Local time at the Stade Regional de Kigali as the boys of Coach Thomas Libih sharpen their skills for first friendly game against host Nation Rwanda this Friday.
18 of the outfield players trained regularly while the Goalkeepers were focused on task related to their department while two players recovering from an injury did light jogging supervised by fitness coach Olivier Nankam.
With 17 days left before the start of the Tournament proper in nearby Tanzania,the Junior Lions are already getting along with the very low morning temperature of East Africa.
In all the training session displayed nearness to readiness at least for Friday’s game which will be Cameroon’s first International game in Africa since winning the UNNIFAC tournament last year in Equatorial Guinea.
This training camp in Kigali is the second in view of the main Tournament after the camp in Antalya which saw the Lions win 2 of their 3 friendly games.
An appointment has been taken for 3:30 PM on Friday when the Lions square-up with Rwanda.
The Lions and technical staff have choosed to comment on Friday on the Pitch.
