Africa’s U-23 Champions,the Super Falcons of Nigeria face aspiring U-23 nation cup dubutants Sudan in the final U-23 AFCON qualifier clash as they prepare to retain their title this year in Egypt.
The 2015 winners will play to Sudan during the first leg,final qualifying round.
Sudan are poised for a first U-23 Cup appearance for the first time since the inception of the tournament in 2011.
They sailed through thanks to 2-0 aggregate win over Kenya after both teams seperated ok a goaless draw in Nairobi on Tuesday.
The defending Champion and one of the most successful team in the tournament, Nigeria crushed Libya 4-0 (4-2 on aggregate)at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba ok Monday.
Nigeria won their first continental title in Senegal 2015 . They beat Algeria in the final 1-0.
The team qualified alongside Algeria,and third placed South Africa for the Olympics,one of their 6th participation.
Nigeria have attended all U-23 afcon tournaments with their best finish in 2015. They finished 6th during their first campaign in 2011.
