Host, Egypt defeated Cameroon in four technical sets (3-1) to record their second win of the tournament at the Men’s under 21African championship.
The win put Egypt a hitch near to the title of the four-team tournament which is played in a round rubbing engagement.
After Egypt had dominated the first two sets (25-21, 25-19), Cameroon looked to equal score after they took the third set 17-25.
It was not to be as the four-time African champions rallied back to take the fourth set 25-17.
The North African team will emerge champions of the 2021 under 21 championship if they defeat Congo on Wednesday.
In the other game, the Atlas Lions came back from a set down to get their first win 3-1.
Congo took the first set 25-22 before the Lions dominated to take the remaining set 20-25, 12-25 and 24-26.
