Black Satellite of Ghana and the young Atlas Lions of Morocco were winners in their first outing of the 2021 Under 20 African Cup of Nations holding at Mauritania.
The Ghanaian team ran over the Tanzania by four goals to nil while Morocco were one nil better than Gambia.
Percious Boah’s brace, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Joselpho Barnes’s goals ensured the WAFU B champions get an emphatic victory over the Taifa Stars at the Stade Municipal Nouadhibou.
As early as the third minutes, Boah opened the scoring from a a very long free kick.
27th minutes later, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku fired from around the center-circle to double the lead. A goal of the tournament contender.
Boah would wait till the second half to complete his brace in the 71st minutes. Joselpho Barnes goal in the 88th minutes sealed the comprehensive win for Ghana.
Abdul Fatawu took the man of the match award.
Morocco conquered Gambia in not too inciting match by a goal after El Moubarik slotted in from a penalty in the first half.
Amine Essahel was crowned Man of the Match for his performance against Gambia.
