Sunday Junior second his second goal of the tournament after two games to hand Cameron their second win and qualification to the quarter finals of the under twenty African Cup of Nations tournament holding in Mauritania.
The indomitable Lions had beaten Mozambique by a goal to nil in their first game and a win against the Hippos on Wednesday makes them the first team in the tournament to qualify to the next stage.
Junior lashed on to a cross with a diving header to give the Cameroonians the goal.
Junior Sunday was voted the most valuable player after the match.
For the host of the tournament Mauritania, it was a sweet feeling as they produced a good performance that gave them a two goal nil win over Mozambique.
Oumar Mbareck and Silly Sanghare half time goals gave the Mauritanians the victory.
The Mozambicans could have had something in the game, but some missed chances and a good save by the host’s goalkeeper put the scoreline at 2-0.
The Total Man of the Match went to Mauritanian Demba Yatera.
Cameroon top the group with six points while Mauritania and Uganda are second with three points each scoring two goals and conceding one respectively.
