Eight out of the 12 countries that participated in the 2021 Under Twenty African Cup of Nations were represented in the tournament’s best eleven list.
The two finalists of Ghana, Uganda and third place Gambia have two players on the list while Cameroon, Central Africa Republic, Morocco and Tunisia have a player each making the cut.
20-year-old Black Satellite Goal Keeper, Danlad Ibrahim emerged the goal keeper chosen to man the sticks of the tournament’s team.
Flory Yangao of CAR took the right back position, Cameroonian Blondon Meyapya and Gambian Jawara Lamin occupy the centre back position while Aziz Kayondo of Uganda is placed at left back.
Two-time tournament’s man of the match El Mehdi El Moubarik of Morocco and Chibeb Labidi of Tunisia are accompanied by young starlet Lamarana Jallow of Gambia to marshal the midfield.
Tournament’s highest goal scorer Kakooza Derrick of Uganda is in front between Ghanian Abdul Fatawu I and Joffrey Bazie of Burkinafaso in the attack to complete the 4-3-3 best eleven formation.
The team is managed by Uganda coach Morley Byekwaso.
