Ese Brume, launched to an impressive PB official 11.50s to win the 100m semis, before going on to take the final in a new 11.41s at the Turkish Trials today.
After her scintillating Personal Best of 6.96m in the women’s Long Jump she broke her 100m PB, running a time of 11.41s at the Buyukler Sampiyonasi meet in Turkey ahead of Burcu Erdemir who ran 11.71s and Elif Polat in 11.81s.
This is coming after her massive Long Jump PB of 6.96m at the 5th International Sprint-Relay Cup in Erzurum Kadin.

She had a former PB of 6.83m, but erased it 3x at the meet where she jumped 6.84m, 6.87m & 6.96m.
Brume was the long jump gold medallist at the 2013 African Junior Athletics Championships, 2014 Commonwealth Games, 2014 African Senior Athletics Championships and 2015 African Junior Athletics Championships. She also represented Nigeria at the World Junior Championships in Athletics in 2014.
Brume represented Nigeria at the 2016 Olympic Games where she placed 5th in the Long Jump final with a leap of 6.81m.
