AS Saint-Étienne have secured their eighth signing of this summer’s transfer window with a loan deal for Ivorian midfielder Jean Eudes Aholou from Monaco.
Aholou joins on a season long loan deal without the option to buy him.
The Ivorian midfielder was delighted with the challenge and understands the pedigree of AS Saint-Etienne in French football.
“I am very proud to join ASSE, a great club with a good project and also wonderful supporters. I can’t wait to play at the Geoffroy-Guichard,” Aholou said on the club’s website.
He is a former player of Lille’s B team, Orléans and Strasbourg.
He is on contract with Monaco till 2023.
He has won two senior caps for the Elephants of Ivory Coast and also played for them at youth levels.
