Former Stade Renard of Melong assistant coach Benjamin Mongo has been named head coach of West Regional outfit Unisport of Bafang.

The 1996 Cameroon League 1 champions are understandably looking for better results after consecutive difficult seasons culminating in their relegation from the top flight championship at the end of last season.

Coach Benjamin has pen a 1 season deal, he replaces Agbo Hans whose international experience in the game couldn’t help Unisport avoid relegation last season. Unisport finished bottom in the 6 clubs relegation Playoffs without a single win from 5 games.

The new gaffer with elite championships experienced gathered at Stade Renard, New Stars in the top flight and most recently
Dynamo of Douala in the second tier Championship is grounded for the task ahead.

Unisport of Bafang have switched status from contenders for honours to favourites in the relegation battle since their emblatic president Emmanuel Leubeu was incarcerated two seasons ago for reasons to be disclosed till date.
