Ahead of their third campaign in the top flight, Cameroon League 1 side AS Fortuna have this Tuesday announced the signing of 5 new players as they strengthen their squad for the new season.

Former TKC top scorer in the 2018 League 2 season Yves Eloundou Tanguy has left TKC after 2 years at the club for city rivals AS Fortuna.

He penned a 2 year deal as a free agent with other financial details sorrounding the move not disclosed.

Goal Keeper Ze Tolo and 19 year forward Horphet Djotsi have also been confirmed as AS Fortuna’s new employees. Both players join Fortuna from Eding Sport FC where they played a pivotal role in helping the club win the 2018 Cameroon Cup trophy.

Ze played in the semi final and final of that cup win making it his first real success for the club after he watching mainly from the sidelines as Eding Sport de la Lakie won the 2017 Cameroon League one championship.

Djotsi struggled for game time at Eding with his highlight moment coming in the 2018 season in Bamenda when he scored the lone goal to end YOSA’s whole season unbeaten run at home.

Both players have penned a 1 season deal at AS Fortuna.

The club has also confirmed Mbidi Ignace is returning for his second spell at the club after failing to impress at Dragon Yaounde.

Striker Junior Atememgue from Renaissance FC of Ngoumou and Forward Leonel Mbida Ateba from AS Etoa Meki complete the new contingent of players that have been brought in by President Roger Noah.

AS Fortuna finished out of the playoffs positions last season and will be pushing for a higher finish in the third top flight campaign for the club created in 2000.
