Astres of Douala have made Narcisse Nlend Junior their latest signing of the ongoing transfer window.
The former Cotonsport keeper was unveiled this Wednesday at the club’s headquarters pending medicals and other formalities.
Nlend who didn’t play last season due to a dispute between him and Cotonsport has penned a two-year deal with the Brazilians of Bepanda.
The 31_year_old goalkeeper joined Cotonsport in the summer of 2020 from Bamboutos FC of Mbouda. He has played 28 of Cotonsport’s 41 games in all competitions this season (Elite one, CAF confederation cup and Cameroon cup).
The Cameroon international who is part of the intermediate and senior Lions is one of the biggest capture so far.
Nlend is the seventh signing this window as they strengthen for the first ever 100 Million FCFA prize money season.
Cabrel Djantou from New Stars, Landry Ntankeu as a free agent, ex-Best Stars forward Ekoi Jonas, Biboum Maurice and Ulrich Ndong have all accepted to join the boys of coach Nicolas Ntonye Ntonye.
Astres are assembling a squad for the 2022/23 season hoping to repeat their great ride during the just-ended season in which they reached the title playoffs and the quarter-final of the Cup of Cameroon.
He could make his competitive debut for the club in the month of October as the top tier championship in Cameroon is slated to get underway on October 15.
