Reigning Italian Serie A Champions Juventus have completed the signing of Brazilian right-back Danilo Luiz da Silva, simply known as Danilo from Manchester City.

The 28 year old defender joint Juve in a deal that saw him serve as make-weight for an eventual move for João Cancelo to the opposite direction with City paying and additional fee of £34.1 million. He signed a five year contract.

Danilo made 22 starts in 60 appearances for City in all competitions since joining them from Real Madrid for £26.5 million in 2017.

He helped City win back to back Premiership titles, though he never gained the full trust of Pep Guardiola.

He began his senior career with América Mineiro, then moved to Santos, FC Porto then Real Madrid in 2015.

He has 23 caps for Brazil and also represented them at the U-20 and U-23 levels.

He has won two UEFA Champions League trophies, one Copa Libertadores, the Spanish Liga and two Portuguese League titles amongst others major trophies.

He is a player who is expected to hit the road running with the Bianconeri under their new coach Maurizio Sarri.
