24 year old Ghanaian defender Kassim Adams Nuhu has moved to Fortuna Düsseldorf on a season long loan move from TSG Hoffenheim after a difficult season.
He moved to Hoffenheim on the back of an amazing season with Swiss outfit Young Boys of Berne where he won the Swiss League title playing 32 league games with two goals to his name, in the 2016-2017 season.
The former Medeama, Leganes, Mallorca and Young Boys center back made just 13 league appearances for Hoffenheim last season.
Düsseldorf looks to be a favorite direction for Ghanaian players as Kassim becomes the fourth Ghanaian to move to the club this summer after Bernard Tekpetey, Nana Ampomah and Kelvin Ofori.
The appointment of former Hoffenheim Sporting Director Lutz Pfannenstiel as Sporting Director of Fortuna Düsseldorf was key to Kassim’s move to the Merkur Spiel-Arena.
Lutz Pfannenstiel had worked with the Ghanaian defender at Hoffenheim and made him a prime target for Fortuna Düsseldorf who are keen to make his loan move permanent.
