Turkish giants Fenerbahçe have announced the signing of French defender Adil Rami on a one-year contract with the option to extend it for another year.
Dismissed by Olympic of Marseille the French international and 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has not taken long to find a landing point.
Rami featured only 16 times for Marseille last season in the French Ligue 1 after a turbulent post World Cup period with the French club.
The 33 year old native of Bastia came through the ranks of Fréjus, and played for their senior team from 2003-2006 before securing a career changing move to Lille where he spent five successful years.
From Lille he secured a move to Spanish side Valencia where he spent four years before joining Serie A giants AC Milan after an initial loan move.
After a year in Milan he returned to Spain, to play for FC Seville for two years before returning to France to play for Marseille in 2017 and made 49 league appearances for them since then.
Rami won the French League title and the the French Cup with Lille. He is also a UEFA Europa League winner with FC Seville. But his biggest football trophy is the 2018 FIFA World Cup with France in Russia. Though born to Moroccan parents he opted to represent France and made 36 appearances for them scoring one goal.
