26 year old FIFA U-20 World Cup winner in 2013 Yaya Sanogo has signed for Al Ahly Benghazi on a one year contract from Toulouse where he has failed to blossom.
The French youth international has failed to live up to expectations given the massive potential he showed at the beginning of his career.
The 2013-2014 season FA Cup and 2014 English Community Shield winner with Arsenal showed massive potential at Auxerre before joining Arsenal in 2013.
Unfortunately he failed to impress at Arsenal and was loaned out to Crystal Palace, Ajax of Amsterdam, Jong Ajax and Charlton Athletic before a permanent move to Toulouse in 2017.
With 9 league goals in 48 appearances, inconsistency has ones again let him down in the French top flight.
He has now opted for a new challenge on African soil precisely with Libya’s Al Ahly Benghazi.
