26 year old attacking midfielder Axel Ngando Elessa has left Turkish side Göztepe to join French Ligue 2 club AJ Auxerre on a two year contract with the option to extend it for an additional one year.
Axel Ngando has previously played for Auxerre on a loan spell from Rennes in the 2013-2014 season, scoring three goals in 25 appearances.
He did not hide his delight to be back.
“I am very happy to be back after my first experience here five years ago. I am also delighted to be back to a new project. The club has been structured. The club is now in a new era and on a new project. There everything required to do well,” the playmaker told reporters.
Ngando will wear the number 27 jersey.
Ngando joint Bastia from Rennes after loan spells with Auxerre and Anger before moving from Bastia to Göztepe in 2017. He played 30 games scored 4 goals in the Turkish top flight with Göztepe.
He is a former French international from the U-18 to the U-21s but is still eligible to play for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
