30 year old Former captain of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon Benjamin Moukandjo has mutually agreed to terminate his contract with the club that first brought him to the Chinese super League, Jiangsu Suning as a move to newly promoted Shenzhen FC looks likely.
Moukandjo played 10 games for the club in the 2017 season and scored 7 goals but spent last season on loan at Beijing Renhe where he featured 11 times, scored 8 goals and provided 4 assists. This weekend he has decided to terminate the 2 years contract he signed at the club with 4 months of the contract still left.
He has scored 15 goals for 2 Chinese clubs since leaving French club Lorient in July 2017 and may be on his way to his 3rd Chinese club. Reports suggest Shenzhen FC who last season had a Cameroonian striker,Franck Ohandza are keen on bringing Moukandjo over.
The former Kadji Sports Academy prodigy played for seven clubs in France before leaving for China in 2017, few months after he won the 2017 AFCON as captain of Cameroon.
The forward retired from International Football in September 2018 after 7 years as a full international from his debut against Senegal in June 2011.He featured 57 times for Cameroon and scored 8 goals in different competitions including the world cup,AFCON, FIFA Confederations Cup, Qualifiers and Friendly games.
Should the deal push through then he will be replacing his compatriot Franck Ohandza who moved to Hernan Jianye and Joined compatriot Christian Bassogog this weekend.
