kick442.com has been reliably informed that Multiple Premier Soccer League (PSL) Clubs In South Africa have inquired about the availability of 24 year old Cameroonian Midfielder,Junior Awono. Awono is currently on the books of South African second tier side,Stellenbosch but his performances in 20 League matches this season have caused top tier sides to keep an eye on him.
Last week,local News Outlet Siya Crews reported that the player’s agent has told his client to forget about multiple clubs and focus on keep learning under coach Steve Barker as Stelllenbosch push for promotion to the PSL.
“I am not surprised,before he came here he had offers from America but for now he has to focus on playing his part to get Stellenbosch FC promoted.Awono is excited playing the PSL next season,we will look at all possibilities but it will depend on his club” Mirko Arnelli told Siya Crews
Cameroon’s captain in the last CHAN competition in January 2018 in Morocco-Awona has missed just one league game this season because he was suspended.
The midfielder still have a six months contract with his current club and reports say Stellenbosch wants the player to stay for an improved contract though his agent is still to open talks about the midfielders future.
