Cameroon Elite two side Rangers FC of Bafut, are closed to agreeing a deal with Toguem Jean Baptiste, as their new coach.
The club has spend barely one day without a coach, after their lead trainer for the past two seasons Frankline Anumewa, was announced on Tuesday as new assistant coach of Elite one side, Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda.
The management of Rangers FC launched search immediately, with former Union of Douala’s coach Daniel Kelly Walinjom, been one of the tacticians that was on their wishlist.
As of Wednesday, things quickly turned around, and the Management of Rangers FC as per our sources, approached 45_year_old Toguem Jean Baptiste, to sollicite his services for the vacancy.
The former PWD of Bamenda gaffer spend last season with North West Regional league side Rainbow FC of Bamenda, where he helped the team reached the finals of the Regional league, where they were edge one_nil by Hilltop Strikers.
Should the deal pulls through, Toguem will bring in lots of experience to the technical bench of Rangers FC, who are preparing for their second season in the Elite two championship. Toguem Jean Baptiste helped PWD Social Football club of Bamenda to return to the top flight in the 2017_2018 season, and will be expected to attempt another feet with Rangers, who narrowly missed out of a playoff place last season, finishing third in Pool A, behind Leopard of Douala and Aigle Royal of the Menoua.
