29 year old Cameroonian defender, Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik has become a hot potato in the transfer market, as three Turkish giants battle for his signature.

He is currently on the books of Kayserispor in the Turkish super League, where he has made over 85 appearances since 2016. The solid center back, who can also play at right back, is currently taking part in the AFCON in Egypt, with the indomitable lions of Cameroon, but the quest for his signature at club level,has put Besiktas, Fenerbaçhe and Yeni Melatyaspor in a fierce battle.

The latest to show interest in the former Toulouse man, is Yeni Melatyaspor. This comes after Besiktas and Fenerbaçhe had previously shown interest in the defender. Yeni Melatyaspor will be taking part in the playoffs for the Europa League next season and should the deal push through, Jean_Armel Kana_Biyik will be part of One of Europe’s elite competitions next season.

Born on July 3, 1989, Jean_Armel Kana_Biyik represented France at the Under 21 level in 2009. In 2012 decided to play for
Cameroon at senior level. Kana-Biyik began his career at Le Havre in 2005 and was promoted to the first team in 2008, he made his debut on 22 February 2008 against Dijon FCO in the Ligue 2. He has enjoyed most of his playing time in France, passing through the ranks of Le Havre, Rennes and Toulouse. He is from a great football family. He is the son of former Footballer, André Kana-Biyik, who had as brother , François Omam-Biyik.
