As kick442.com earlier reported that Dragan Cvetkovic’s contract as coach of DRC’s giant TP Mazembe will not be renewed when it expires on December 31, 2020, the TP Mazembe has announced club legend Pampile Mihayo Kazembe as new coach of the team.
He will take over from Dragan Cvetkovic whose contract was not renewed.
Cvetkovic had replaced Pampile Mihayo in March 2020 when he was sacked after the team was eliminated by Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League by at the Quarterfinals.
Pampile Mihayo is a club legend at TP Mazembe and he won two CAF Champions League titles in 2009 and 2010 as a player for the club.
He was first appointed as coach in 2017 to replace Hubert Velud who had left the club a year earlier.
TP Mazembe is one of Africa’s football club powerhouse.
