As earlier reported, the Egyptian delegation journeyed to host nation of AFCON 2021 Cameroon last week without goalkeeper coach Essam Kamal Tawfiq El Hadary and goalkeeper Mohamed Abou Gabal after both retained positive COVID-19 results.
After another test conducted, both have retained negative COVID-19 test results and will journey to Cameroon in the hours ahead to join the entire delegation.
The Egyptian National team is lodged in Group D alongside Nigeria, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau, occupying the Garoua site and the 30,000 Roumde Adjia Stadium serving as play ground.
The Pharoahs of Egypt and seven times champions of African are expected to take on three time champions the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the first group D game of the AFCON 16:00.
El Hadary as popularly known, is a renowned former shot stopper for Egypt with 159 caps from 1996 till his retirement in 2018. While Abou Gabal is coming in for his second cap for Egyptian National team after joining in 2011.
