The warriors of Zimbabwe have held their first training in Cameroon ahead of their opening match in the Total CHAN 2020 this Saturday January 16 against host nation, Cameroon.
The Warriors of held their first training session at the Omnisport Annex 2 stadium in Yaounde this Thursday evening after arriving Yaounde Cameroon in the early hours of Thursday January 14.
The team travelled to Cameroon with 23 players and are to play the opening match against the intermediate amateur lions of Cameroon.
After their opening match against the host Cameroon on January 16, Zimbabwe will take on Burkina Faso on January 20 before ending their group stage matches against Mali on Sunday January 24, 2021.
The Warriors of Zimbabwe will be making their fifth appearance in the CHAN tournament having missed out in 2018. The team’s best performance so far is a semi finals position at the 2016 edition.
