Chipolopolo of Zambia became the first team to score two goals at the ongoing CHAN 2020 after their 2-0 victory over Tanzania at the Limbe Omnisports Stadium in their Group D opening game.
Tanzania had the first chance of the game in the first half via a free-kick which was not properly converted before the referee spotted an infringement in the box 18.
Emmanuel Chabula had a one-two pass with Collins Sikombe at the edge of the box before the latter’s weak effort was handled by Allen Chibwe in the 11th minute.

In the 22nd minute, Feisal Salum Abdalla’s effort from outside the box went over the bar for Tanzania.
Zambia’s captain Kelvin Kapumbu’s shot also went over the bar in similar fashion.
Emmanuel Chabula had his fierce strike saved by Ditram Adrian Nchimbi.
The resulting corner kick gave Collins Sikombe an opportunity to score but his shot was well saved by Ditram.
Five minutes before half time, Ayubu Reuben Lyanga latches on to a long ball outside the box before firing a shot that went over the bar.
Zambia scored their first goal in the 63rd minute from the penalty spot.
Collins Sikombe converted the penalty which hit the bottom left corner of the bar before finding the back of the net.
The Chipolopolo doubled their lead in the 81st minute courtesyof a volley from Emmanuel Chabula.
The win put Zambia at the top of Group D with three points and two goals ahead of the second group clash between Guinea and Namibia.
