Namibia national football team coach, Bobby Samaria says his side can get a positive result when they trade tackles with Guinea in their opening Group D game at the ongoing African Nations Championship in Cameroon.
The gaffer opined that irrespective of the fact that his team will miss one of their midfielders, a win is possible against Guinea.
“Before we traveled, one of our midfielders sustained an injury. After the medical assessment, we decided to bring him along (player name: Image). He won’t be available for our first game but he should be able to recover for our subsequent games.”
Namibia coach Bobby Samaria told journalists during their first pre-match press conference in Limbe on Monday.
Namibia captain, Dynamo Fredericks on his part asserted that his side is ready to compete with Guinea with the hope of winning the tournament in the long run.
He said: “We have played Guinea in 2019 during the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) and have an idea about them. Our team respects them, but we are ready to compete against them and eager to win CHAN 2020.”
Namibia will play Guinea in their opening game on Tuesday at Limbe stadium, while Zambia and Tanzania settle scores in the other Group D encounter.
