After elimination at the semis final stage of the competition, the intermediate indomitable lions of Cameroon on Thursday received words of encouragement from minister of sports and physical education Prof Mwele Kombi.
Allegations of witchcraft practices, infighting between players and coaches, dismissal of Yannick Ndjeng from camp have made headlines in news stands and social media across during the last 24 hour’s.
In a video conference with players/staff of the team, minister Mwele said the victory in itself has been the successful staging of the tournament hitch free and that the boy should put away thei differences and win the third place game against the Syli of Mali on Saturday evening at the Bepanda reunification stadium. Minister Mwele was unequivocal by mentioning some great names that have emerged from the team like Banga, Hashou, Étamé who among others did their best to rekindle the hearts of Cameroonians towards national unity.
The boys of coach Martin Ntoungou Mpile will be making an attempt to have their best ever finish of 3rd among 16 nations that have taken part in this edition of the tourney.
