Nchout Njoya Ajara’s Valerenga have lost to Sandviken 3-2 in their opening game of the Toppserien Women’s League this weekend.
The Cameroonian striker came off the bench at the 62nd minutes and played for barely half an hour in her side’s narrow defeat to her former club.
The 27-year-old had formerly been on the books of Sandviken where she emerged top scorer of the club before her move to Valerenga.
Valerenga finished second on the Toppserien last season. They were only four points from eventual League winners, LSK Kvinner.
They faces Røa in their next game. They’ve had an upper hand over their opponents in their previous encounters. A win for the Norwegian women’s league vice-champions will enable them to return to winning ways.
Nchout Njoya Ajara scored 11 goals last season for Valerenga and helped the club to their best finish in seven years in her fantastic season.
She netted over 33 goals in the last 12 months.
