20-year-old YOSA forward, Tongua Armel Emmanuel Regis is certainly pushing beyond limits in his first campaign in the Cameroon Elite One championship.
The former Foncha Street FC steiker scored his 8th goal of the season in YOSA’s 1-2 defeat away to UMS of Loum.
The forward gave his side the lead in the first segment of the game just like he did against Feutcheu FC in match-day 21 but watched helplessly as his side’s defensive department yet again let in two goals and gave away all three points against UMS.
Armel has been a revelation in the championship this season, he became the center of media attention when he scored a hat trick against Dragon Yaounde earlier this season.
Since that game the forward has been sensational.
He is two goals away from lead scorers Leon Boyomo and Kevin Assiga who have scored 10 goals each this campaign.
He is the first YOSA player to score morw than seven goals in the league in a single campaign since Tamo Giresse Tinwo in the 2017 season.
Coach Martin Nkabyo will hope the striker keeps his scoring boots on this weekend. YOSA club stay at home to welcome Avion Academy at the YOSA Academy center in Bamenda.
The visitors won by the odd goal in five in the reversed fixture and come into this one in a confident mood having won away to Stade Renard in round 23 of the championship.
