CAF Online is reporting that due to FIFA’s current suspension of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Sierra Leone has been disqualified from the qualifiers of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (Women’s).
Cote d’Ivoire that had to be their first round opponents will progress to the next round of the Qualifiers and wait for their next opponents to between Mali and Morocco.
Angola on her part have withdrawn from the qualifiers, Zambia will progress and face Zimbabwe in round 2.
The above situation has caused the number of Nations in the Qualifiers to drop to 23.
The first and second leg matches has been fixed for 1-9 April 2019.

In the second round of the Qualifiers,Winners of the Malawi/Mozambique ties face Kenya, Zambia will face Zimbabwe, while South Africa clash winners of Botswana/Namibia.
Cote d’Ivoire will face winners between Mali/Morocco, while winners from Algeria/Chad tie will confront the African Champions, Nigeria.
