The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon have returned to Cameroon from Abidjan-Ivory Coast late into the night of Sunday 11th November 2019.

Coach Alain Djeumfa’s girls touched down at the Yaounde-Nsimalen Airport few minutes past 11PM via Air Cote D’Ivoire.

The team had stayed back in Ivory Coast after Saturday’s Olympic qualifiers. They had a practice session in the country on Sunday morning before leaving later in the day.

Few minutes upon arrival at the Nsimalen Airport, Lionesses moved to their base in Yaounde where they will camp and prepare to face Ivory Coast in the second leg of the fourth round of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic qualifiers following a virgin draw on Saturday in Abidjan.

Cameroon is seeking to qualify for the games for the first time since 2012 while Ivory Coast is out in search of their first entry in the competition.

Both nations still have the second leg of this tie to negotiate for a ticket before clashing with the winner between Kenya and Zambia for a place in the games.

The Kenya versus Zambia clash is also tied on a 2-all score ahead of the return game this week in Lusaka.

Ivory Coast is believed to be in Cameroon already.
Coach Clementine Toure’s team has been revelation in this qualifiers ousting heavy-weights like Mali and Nigeria in a veritable show of their desire to be in Tokyo next Sumner. Cameroon on their part have had to knock out Ethiopia and DR Congo to get this far.

90 minutes seperate both nations from the final. At full time in Yaounde on Tuesday, there will be only one happy camp of the two.
