The Draw for 2020 Tokyo Olympics Men’s Football to be played this 2021 has been done. The draws were made this Wednesday April 21, 2021 in Zurich, Switzerland.
Two FIFA Legends: Lindsay Tarpley, member of the USA women’s national team and two-time Olympic gold medallist (Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008), and Ryan Nelsen, captain of the New Zealand Olympic squad in 2008 and London 2012, assisted in the draw process.
12 teams have been drawn into four pools. South Africa, Egypt and Ivory Coast will represent the African Continent.
The tournament will kickstart July 23, 2021 and will run till August 8, 2021.
This is an upcoming international multi-sport event scheduled to be held from 23 July to 8 August 2021 in Tokyo, Japan. Originally due to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the event was postponed in March 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and will not allow international spectators.
