Nigerian Tobi Amusan opened her season with bang as she ran to finish second in the Women’s 60mH event at the World Athletics Indoor Tour happening in Europahalle, Karlsruhe, Germany.
The African Champion improved on her season’s best with her time of 7.94s.
She came second behind Finland’s Nooralotta Neziri who ran from lane 8, snuck in for the win in a new PB and National Record of 7.92s.
In third place was Nadine Visser with 7.96s (SB), while Elvira Herman also managed to dip under 8 seconds, timed 7.99s.
She powered to a time of 8.01s to win the first heat of the women’s 60mH, holding off European Champion Elvira Herman who ran 8.02s in second place.
Reetta Hurske got 3rd in 8.04s, while Luminosa Bogliolo who ran 8.09s for fourth also made it into the final.
