South west Regional League side, Tiko United Football Club alias Samba boys have began training this Tuesday February 15,2022, at the Tiko town green stadium ahead of the 2022/2023 football season.
The Pre-season training session which was coordinated by Barister Mballa Fabrice alongside coaching staff Eric Arsene in the absence of a coach, was aimed to prepare the players spend enough time working on their weaknesses, increasing their tactical skills, and improving their technical abilities.
Eight players answered present for the first training session and carried out the physical preparations carried out by the young trainer who has been assistant coach for the club for about 3years under ex Coach Maurice.
Collins Agbor, Chu Valentine, Etchi Tabe, Tanko Sylvester, former Ajax of a Tiko goalkeeper Mandanda Robert, seaman Ndumbe, Bareng Joseph and Chick Tambe are the “loyal” servants who opened training his year ahead of the others yet to come though, last year’s highest goal scorer for Tiko United, Dieudonné, Enow Leke and Tem Cedrick amongst others were spotted in the stands watching but not ready to commence training this day.
The Tiko based club is in talks with Coach Ayissi to take over this season.
The 2009 Cameroon Champions man squad today worked out for an 1hr 30mins and worth noting is the fact that this was done in the presence of quite an encouraging number of “Samba boys” fans who came out to watch and encourage the team.
The training session for Tiko United FC is set to run everyday until the start of the Regional Championship tipped to begin in March, 2022.
According to the Team Manager of the club,they are aimed at
Restructuring Tiko United into a Semi Professional Club as well as
Building and Developing an Academy of the Club to nurture future young talents to play for the club.
Also Qualifying for the 2022 National Interpools is a primary goal for the club this season.
