The draws for the second round preliminaries in the South West Region for the 2021 Cup of Cameroon has been conducted with interesting matches coming up. The draws were conducted this Friday, March 5 at the SW FECAFOOT Bureau in Buea.
Best Stars had a tough encounter in the first round against a stubborn Prisons FC. It took post-match penalties for Best Stars to get the better of the Home Boyz as they won 4-3.
Coach Djoufack Saturin and his boys face a Tiko United side that won its game comfortably. The Samba Boys defeated Ajax FC 5-1 in Limbe to sail to the second round of the competition.
Continental FA who had one of the biggest wins in the first round (defeated EEMSA 22 in Limbe 6-0) will battle it out against the University of Buea FC who defeated Vishi SA on post-match penalties 4-3.
There is a meeting of two Limbe clubs as ISOHSA faces option Sports. For the first round, ISOHSA dispatched New Stars 6-0, while it took post-match penalties (4-2) for Option Sports to win Istanbul FA.
Two games will take place in Meme while six games will come up next week Wednesday and Thursday.
It should be noted that Vishi SA and Prisons who both finished as best losers are expected to face each other on Wednesday for a chance to play the second round. Prisons was beaten 4-3 on post-match penalty shootouts by Best Stars Limbe while Vishi SA lost on the same score to the University of Buea FC.
The winner of the game between Vishi SA and Prisons FC Buea will take on the Catholic University Sports Academy, CUSA, at the second round, which will be communicated after the game on Wednesday.
