2009 Cameroon Elite One Champions, Tiko United Football Club have officially reached an agreement with several new players for the 2021/22 football season, most importantly Defense maskman, Ngembus Simon who has made his name with the club for his contribution at the back.
The services of these players have been acquired few days to the start of the delayed Regional league championship which gets underway on Thursday, April 14.
Prolific forward, Bissong Pascal who counts three goals scored during the club’s pre-season friendlies, have been secured by the clubs for this football season. He joins the club for the very first time and amateur in the South West Regional league.
Former team captain of EEMSA, Egbe Martin has once again joined the club to add to it’s midfield compartment after playing for the club last four seasons before moving to EEMSA. He is back, alongside midfield maestro, Akongoh Marvin who has been part of the team during their days at the Elite level.
Ace defender Ngembus Simon who has always played for Tiko United then moved to EEMSA. He is now back home and has been joined by full back, Ndi Ferdinand, Ahmidou Valery and new comer, Akamba Kingsley.
Kingsley, former Mount Cameroon FC, Caiman and AS Dibombari player, has showed and proved readiness to serve the club for the next two seasons. He was Infact the first and only player to walk up to the management to declare his intentions of serving as a “Samba Boy”.
Former Best Star Academy of Limbe’s goalkeeper, Eyong Eta Belkish is now at the goalpost for Tiko United as they prepare for the start of the championship. The young keeper accepted a deal to stand at goal for the club this season.
The Tiko based club have been gearing up for the start of the season with about 8 friendly games played without a single defeat.
The boys of newly acquired coach Kengo Raymond Kalla warmed up ahead of the start of the championship facing Treviso, Ajax of Likomba, Eteki Memorial sports academy, Cinyodev FA of Buea, Limbe football Club Association (LIFCA), AJSAC of Douala and Buea United FC, in which they recorded, six wins and two draws.
Samba boys will play the seasons match day one game against Prisons FC of Buea on Saturday April 16 at the University of Buea field.
