Sunday 12th was a day to remember for Young Boys in general and Nsame and Moumi in particular. These Camroonians scored three goals against FC Basel that took Young Boys through.
The Basel side who initially opened score at the 4th minute thanks to Fabian Frei, maintained their 1-0 lead throughout the first half of play.
Upon recess, the Young boys side put up a more tactical team characterised by rebus man-to-man passes and long range passes. It was however difficult for them to get an equalizer until the 62nd minute.
Cameroon and Young boys attacker Jean-Pierre Nsame benefited from a corner as he leveled 1-1. 10 minutes later, second yellow card turned red for Carlos Zambrano of FC Basel. This seem to have been a fatal blow as they were looking earnestly to maintain a better result.
Barely 9 minutes to the end of the match, the substituted Camroonian Nicolas Moumi made the equation more difficult to balance. He gave Young boys a 2-1 lead at the 81 minute.
The hunter became the hunted as FC Basel started walking on banana pealings. Their quest for an equalizer didn’t yield any fruits.
At the 90th minute, Young boys built play from their own side as Moumi passed the ball to Nsame, Nsame back to Moumi and the end was a 3-1 score line thanks to Nicolas Moumi.
