26-year-old Ghanaian international Thomas Partey’s agent posted a picture on Instagram asking fans of the Atletico Madrid midfielder to vote for his next club.
The agency representing the player, JJ Sports Managers shared a photo on Instagram yesterday, asking fans to pick the players next clubs out of five possible options [Manchester United, Arsenal, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain].
This image was originally created by Transfermarkt and JJ Sports Managers re-shared it on their Instagram account.
They have however, deleted it and issued an apology.
“In view of the publication that was made today Wednesday 29th April 2020 on our Instagram account, regarding the future of our player Thomas Partey, from JJ Sports Managers we want to convey that this publication was not approved by the company management,” the agency said in a statement.
“An internal investigation has been opened to find out exactly what happened, we are sure that this has not been intentional on the part of any of our workers and it is probably an unfortunate mistake.
“The publication has been deleted as soon as we have become aware of its existence.
“In addition, the key to all our social profiles have been modified to restrict access only to essential personnel.”
Premier League giants Manchester United and Arsenal have been key to secure the midfielder’s services.
Former United defender Rio Ferdinand has urged the club’s management to bring in the Ghanaian.
“I would maybe go and get Partey from Atletico Madrid or [Wilfred] Ndidi from Leicester, I like Saul Niguez, he’s a very, very good player in midfield. And I still think they need a centre-back,” Ferdinand said.
Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have also manifested an interest in Partey for the next transfer window.
